A spotlight Q&A series featuring beautiful people that inspire us. Bianca Connolly / Lifestyle Architect ... as well as the inspiration behind our Bianca wrap!

What exactly is lifestyle architecture?

Lifestyle architecture is a term that came to me when I was figuring out how all of the things I did fit together. It encompasses the four pillars of body, mind, spirit, and space (interiors) in helping people live happier, healthier, more beautiful lives.

How did you get the idea to start your business, BIEN?

I had worked as a fashion and tech writer for years in NYC, while also getting certified as a health coach, hypnotist, meditation teacher, breathwork teacher, Reiki healer. etc. I completed a B.A. in psychology and was always interested in interior design. At the time, I had no idea that all of these things would fit together so nicely into a business. BIEN came about when I realized that the best way to live better and make lasting change was by addressing the whole person….and yes, that includes personal style too!

What’s your definition of beauty?

Authenticity. Confidence. Kindness. I think nature is the number one source of beauty.

Tell us about your style?

I can be a bit of a chameleon—at times edgy and at others super femme. I tend to have a flair for the fancy, and I’m usually just a little overdressed (I get it from my mama). But I love expressing myself through my style; it feels like art to me. I work with my clients on soul-centered styling—helping them really connect with themselves so they can be clear on how they want to show up in the world. And so for me, that often means wearing things that might be a little different, a little dramatic even. Which explains why I love One Moon so much!

What about your interior design style?

Interior spaces are incredibly personal, which is what I love about them! You can tell so much about a person by the environment in which they live. I’m into open, relaxing, light-filled, modern-yet-warm design. Textures are so important. I enjoy bringing the outside in and focusing on healthy, sustainable materials and furnishings.

What’s your favorite One Moon wrap and how do you like to style it?

Oh my goodness, I have so many favorites! I love wearing the Bianca with my studded red belt—the color combo is divine. The gray Stevie is such an incredible piece and really stands out. That one looks great with jeans and a tee or over a flowy white dress, very chic and boho.
