Fresh off the plane and I just wanted to let you all know what a fantastic time we had in Fort Worth, Texas! We had the privilege of attending a trunk show benefitting Joan Katz Breast Center at the Rivercrest Country Club. Philanthropy is at the heart of One Moon and it brings such joy to all of us involved to have the opportunity to participate in events such as this. According to Susan G. Komen, in 2014 it is estimated that there will be 232,670 new cases of breast cancer in American women and 2,360 new cases in American men. While those numbers alone are staggering, the number of people the disease touches is far great when you consider the husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers--all the families and friends who support, care, and advocate for those fighting the disease.
We were honored to participate in the event with The Barfield Connection and Heather Ashbury Rare Jewels of India. It was a very special event filled with beautiful work and beautiful people.
